Is a driver already going your way? You get in. If not, you walk to the nearest road that gets you further, and you stand where pulling over is easy.
The driver shows you a four-digit code, you type it in, and the trip starts. You are only charged once you are on board.
No car? No problem. Drivers already pass by your place every day, and the app simply puts you in the right one. Even where there is neither a bus nor a station.

At peak hours, the average car carries 1.08 people, and seven out of ten commutes are driven alone. In other words: the seats already exist. They just need someone in them.
